Alloyohimbine is a natural product that exhibits fluorescence in the presence of ultraviolet light. It has been shown to have serotonergic and cholinergic properties, and can be used as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. Alloyohimbine has been shown to reduce symptoms of psychosis in animals by inhibiting serotonin uptake. Its structure includes a hydroxyl group that may contribute to its inhibition potential. Alloyohimbine also inhibits coronaviruses, while it is not active against chemokines.
